Made for a group exhibition at Rånäs slott.
Made out of a 30 m long hessian textile which was painted on the spot and then mounted between two big trees in the castle park.
The title refers to the history of the castle when in the 1980’s was used as a mental institution for women. But also the separation of country’s and spaces which refers to what’s happening around the world with closed borders during the Covid-19 pandemic. We are also seeing what’s happening in the escalation of the Israel/Palestine conflict in which Israel is not respecting borders and taking over more land from the Palestinians.
